Niño Police Station, conducted an Orientation of Day Care Service Program cum Fire & Earthquake Drill at Barangay Cabayo on August 14, 2024.

Sa pangunguna ng ating butihing Punong Bayan, Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan at Bise Mayor AV Roxas Pagurayan, sunod na binisita ng grupong tagasubaybay ang Project LAWA at BINHI sa Barangay ng Sta. Felicitas.

Ang Project LAWA at BINHI ay isang Sustainable Development program na naglalayong palakasin ang seguridad sa tubig at pagkain. Ang kahalagahan ng water and food security ng programang ito ay hindi lamang para sa kasalukuyan, kundi para rin sa kinabukasan ng mga komunidad at pamilya, na may malaking epekto sa kanilang kalusugan, kabuhayan, at pang-araw-araw na buhay.

Ang proyektong ito ay pinangungunahan ng LGU Sto. Niño, DOLE, DSWD, DA at nang ating mga TUPAD Beneficiaries.

While, Joana Capili, Joylyn Lorenzo, Nofa Macadangdang, Edell Jane Maravilla, Joanne Tejada and Chen- Chen Trinidad received an Academic Distinction.

Twelve (12) of them also passed the Career Service Eligibility-Professional Level Examination of the Civil Service Commission : Joel Bert Batugal, Sharlene Kate Calem, Camille Callo, Joice Carbonel, Rica Mae Carungi,Marie-Cris Dumrique, Johnmark Florentino, Jinky Nogueras, Hazel Piñera, Ma. Together We Will Be Better: “Forming a Bond with Sto. Niño Youth, Standing up Against Drugs and Rejecting CTG Recruitments through Spirits”

The Municipality of Sto. Niño kicked off its 2024 AV’s VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE for Girls & Boys at the Mayor Leandro Pagurayan Memorial Gymnasium.

Hon. Vice Mayor Andrew Vincent R. Pagurayan graced the event alongside with Municipal Officials, Members of the Sanggunian, Barangay Officials and other spectators.

The program commenced with a parade around the town proper and with the presentation of players from the different clusters.

In her welcome address, Hon. Jamaica Agcaoili Robles, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President, extended warm greetings to all attendees, emphasizing the significance of the SPORTS LEAGUE in fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among the players and the different clustered teams.

Further, Vice MayorAV Roxas Pagurayan being the proponent of the the said Sports League, delivered his message commending Congresswoman Baby Aline Vargas Alfonso and Municipal Mayor Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan for their support to the activity, promoting sports and cultural traditions. He also encouraged the youth to stand up against drugs and rejecting CTG recruitments through sports. His encouragement resonated with participants and spectators alike, reinforcing the communal spirit.

The formal declaration of the Sports League was officiated by the Honorable Vice Mayor, symbolizing the official commencement of the games. His declaration marked the beginning of competitions and friendly rivalries, uniting the youths of Sto. Niño.

The said activity was also graced by the very active Municipal Vice Mayor AV Roxas Pagurayan who extended his warm love and support to the PWDs. He also emphasized to continue supporting projects, programs and activities for the welfare of the PWDs because such vulnerable group is so close to his heart and peomoting programs for them is one of his advocacies.

PWD Got Talent was also conducted as the highlight of the celebration where PWDs was given the chance to shine and showcase their God- given talents.

Mr. Herminigildo Luis, Municipal Treasurer, personally received the Certificate of Achievement for the MUNICIPALITY OF SANTO NIÑO for having been ranked TOP 1 among all SECOND CLASS MUNICIPALITIES in the CAGAYAN VALLEY REGION in terms of COLLECTION EFFICIENCY OF FEES AND CHARGES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023 and TOP 2 among all SECOND CLASS MUNICIPALITIES in the CAGAYAN VALLEY REGION in terms of YEAR-ON-YEAR GROWTH IN TOTAL LOCALLY-SOURCED REVENUES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023.

The said award is issued in recognition of the efforts of the Municipal Government through the

MUNICIPAL TREASURY OFFICE to afford the best public service for its people and in anticipation of optimum local revenue generation in the entire Cagayan Valley Region.

The award was given by the Department of Finance through the Bureau of Local Government Finance- Regional Office No. 02.

The Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Ethel Simeon spearheaded the 2024 Nutrition Month Celebration on July 31, 2024 at Mayor Leandro Pagurayan Memorial Gymnasium.

Nutrition Month is an annual campaign held every July to raise awareness among Filipinos about the significance of nutrition, as stipulated in the Nutrition Act of the Philippines (P.D. 491).

Present during the activity is the Municipal Vice Mayor AV Roxas Pagurayan who emphasized the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle in maintaining optimal body function and contributing to better physical performance.
