Pinangunahan ni Congresswoman Baby Aline Vargas- Alfonso, Representative ng Segundo Distrito ng Cagayan, ang pagpapasinaya ng Calapangan Bridge, Calapangan, Santo Niño, Cagayan.

Dumalo rin sa nasabing pagpapasinaya si Engr. Rellie Dalmaceda, Second District Engineer, Municipal Vice Mayor AV Roxas Pagurayan, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Punong Barangays, Barangay Officials at mga residente ng CACA.

Ipinangako naman ni Congresswoman Vargas na patuloy ang kanyang palalaan ng pondo para sa mga proyektong imprastraktura at social services para sa bayan ng Santo Niño.

Ihinayag din Vice Mayor Pagurayan ang taos- pusong pasasalamat sa suporta at pagmamahal na binibigay ni Congresswoman Vargas sa Santo Niño at patuloy ang pagsuporta ng administrasyon sa mga proyekto at programa ni Cong. Vargas para sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng bayan ng Santo Niño.

𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟬𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

The Department of Social Welfare and Development through the Local Government of Santo Niño, Cagayan facilitated the Project LAWA at BINHI Cash-For-Training and Cash-for-Work Payout.

Project LAWA at BINHI, or the “Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through

Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished,” is a proactive intervention and sustainable solution addressing food insecurity and water scarcity due to climate change.

The said payout was attended by the Municipal Vice Mayor AV Roxas Pagurayan who emphasized that the said project is beneficial in reducing economic vulnerability by ensuring food security and water sufficiency in the municipality.

Beneficiaries from Calapangan, Abariongan Uneg, Calassitan, Abariongan Ruar, Namuccayan, Balagan, Tamucco, Mapitac, Balanni and Lipatan received financial assistance amounting to P8,400.00 through Cash-for-Training and Cash-for-Work.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development- Regional Office No. 02 recognized the Municipality of Santo Niño for achieving Level 3 Functionality during the 2023 TAPAT (Tulong Angkop sa PAnTawid):

Local Government Units’ Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino

Program Funcionality Assessment.

The plaque of recognition was personally received by the Municipal Mayor Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan accompanied by SB Member Elmer Tejada- Committee Chair on Social Welfare and Mr. Rommel Tejada- Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer during the 4Ps Anniversary Celebration in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The said recognition validates the comprehensive establishment of roles and functions of the LGU and partner stakeholders in the implementation of 4Ps. This attests to the LGU’s ability to ensure the effective implementation of all convergence deliverables, outputs, and mechanisms, thereby facilitating the program’s objectives and impact.

Pagkatapos ang pagpapasinaya sa Namuccayan Bridge, dumiretso naman ang ating mahal na Congresswoman Baby Aline Vargas- Alfonso para mag-abot ng tulong pinansyal sa ating mga minamahal na mga lolo’t lola.

Bukod sa pinansyal na tulong, nag-alay din si Cong. Vargas ng mga nakakaaliw na mga aktibidades na nagbigay naman ng ngiti at lubos na kaligayan sa ating mga Senior Citizens.

Nangako naman siya na patuloy niyang susuportahan at gawing prayoridad ang mga programa at proyekto para sa kapakanan ng mga Senior Citizens.

Ipinaabot naman ng ating minamahal na Mayor Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan ang lubos na pagmamahal sa ating mga Senior Citizens at nangakong patuloy ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Santo Niño sa pagbibigay ng pondo para sa mga programa na nakakatulong sa ating mga Senior Citizens.

Second District Representative, Congresswoman Baby Aline Vargas – Alfonso led the Inauguration and Turnover Ceremony of Namuccayan Bridge.

The said project is under the Tourism Road Infrastructure Project (TRIP) jointly undertaken by the Department of Tourism and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and initiated by Congresswoman Baby- Aline Vargas – Alfonso.

Also present during the said activity were Engr. Kyle Pulsar- Lara, Board Member Randy Ursulum, Municipal Mayor Atty. Vicente Pagurayan, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Municipal Officials and Barangay Officials.

Cong. Aline promised to allot more funds for infrastructure projects especially bridges and roads in the municipality of Sto. Niño to connect with other municipalities.

Municipal Mayor Pagurayan manifested his gratitude on behalf of the people of Sto. Nino for the realization of this dream that will surely redound to the benefit of the constituents especially the farmers.

In attendance to the 1st National Congress on Adoption and Alternative Child Care with the theme: Building a League of AMPON Heroes for Children on June 19-20, 2024 at Royce Hotel and Casino, Clark Pampanga.

The National Congress is an event where the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) and Local Government Units (LGUs) from Northern and Central Luzon (Regions I, II, III, and CAR) as represented by their Local Chief Executives (LCEs) and heads of the Local Social Welfare and Development Offices (LSWDOs), are gathered to meet, discuss, collaborate, and forge partnerships with the NACC for the effective and efficient implementation of the adoption and alternative child care programs and services in the local community.

ATTY. VICENTE G. PAGURAYAN was represented by Hon. ELMER M. TEJADA, Committee Chairman on Children during the MOA Signing on Philippine Foster Care Program.

The Turnover and Awarding Ceremony was held at Mabitbitnong, Sto. Niño, Cagayan. One of the highlights was the blessing of the new facility led by the Parish Priest, Father Rex Anthony Singson.

The ceremony was filled with messages of gratitude, appreciation and encouragement. It was graced by the Municipal Mayor Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan. Also in attendance were the Punong Barangays of Sto. Niño, Municipal Officials and Functionaries, Presidents of different cooperatives operating within the municipality and the recipients of the said program.

The Community Based Swine Clustering Project was established in support to the INSPIRE PROGRAM of the Department of Agriculture aimed to recover, revive, and sustain the hog industry which was severely affected by the African Swine Fever in Cagayan Valley

The Municipal Government Unit of Sto. Niño together with the different National Government Agencies commemorated the 126th Philippines Independence Day with the theme “𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻. 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻. 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻.” held at the Municipal Hall Ground.

The said celebration is also to honor and give due respect to the national heroes who sacrificed their lives to attain freedom and democracy for the sake of the Filipino people.

Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan emphasized in his inspirational message to continue working together to realize the hopes and dreams of our forefathers for our nation.

The said activity was participated by the Municipal Officials and employees, DepEd Officials and teachers, PNP and BFP personnel, Barangay and SK Officials.
