DOLE INTEGRATED LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM

The Department of Labor and Employment in coordination with the Municipal Government Unit of Santo Niño, Cagayan conducted the official inauguration and turn-over ceremony of the Free-Range Chicken Poultry to Dagum Farmer Association of Sitio Dagum, Calassitan, Santo Niño, Cagayan.

The Dagum Farmers Association is an accredited Civil Society Organizations and one of the beneficiaries of livelihood projects under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program.

This project aims to provide sustainable income opportunities for the residents of the said barangay by fostering poultry farming and create a steady source of income to lift the families out of poverty.

Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan, Municipal Mayor, emphasized that the Municipal Government is committed to fully support this project to enhance food security and to improve the lives of the residents. He also manifested that his administration will prioritize implementing developmental projects such as bridges, electricity, road network and the establishment of school in the said community. He also encouraged everyone to support this projects that are geared towards the end of insurgency in the said barangay.

Also present during the said activity were Municipal Vice Mayor Andrew Vincent Pagurayan, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Municipal Officials, DOLE Officials, Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines.
