Participants, including barangay officials, students, and community members, practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique as part of the earthquake drill. The activity aimed to enhance readiness and ensure a coordinated response in the event of a major earthquake.

In addition to the drill, several safety and emergency response trainings were conducted:

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) facilitated a fire safety awareness session, emphasizing fire prevention and emergency response.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) held a crime prevention seminar, educating the community on safety measures and law enforcement coordination.

The NSED is a nationwide initiative conducted quarterly by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) to instill disaster preparedness and response capabilities across all sectors.
