DID YOU KNOW?
The month of JUNE is also the “𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡” as declared by virtue of Proclamation No. 237, S. 1988. And, JUNE 5 (Thursday) as the “𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲”.
With this year’s theme, “𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣”, it is to remind every Filipino that plastic wastes choking our oceans, lakes, and rivers and piling up on land is more than unsightly but detrimental to plants, wildlife and human health. Therefore, this celebration encourage us to protect and develop the environment, as well as to use natural resources sustainably, for the benefit of this and the next generations to come.
Kasama ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Sto. Niño sa pagsulong ng iba’t ibang programa upang maprotektahan ang inang kalikasan.
