Recognizing the efforts of the participants and their coaches who represented the municipality during the CAGAYAN PROVINCIAL ATHLETICS ASSOCIATION with PARALYMPICS and JOURNALISM held at Allacapan, Cagayan last February 1-4, 2024.

Paralympic athletes embody the highest ideals of humanity – they challenge the boundaries set by society and aim to develop and maximize their potential as world-class athletes.

Athletics teaches the athlete how to have a healthy balance in many aspects of life including the social, academic, spiritual and physical. Students learn how to manage their time to accomplish all that is demanded of them during the athletic season.

The LGU functionaries led by the Municipal Vice Mayor Andrew Vincent AV Roxas Pagurayan led the awarding of certificates to the participants. #ParaTiIliTiFaire

Awarding of Authenticated Copies of Birth Certificates to beneficiaries as part of the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP), which aims to help the marginalized in securing their birth registration and assist them in registering to PhilSys.

The ceremony was headed by the Vice Mayor Hon. Andrew Vincent AV Roxas Pagurayan, together with the Members of the Sanggunian with the assistance of the Local Civil Registrar, Engr. Haydee Catolos.

The Department of Labor and Employment facilitated the payout of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced (TUPAD) Workers to 99 Beneficiaries from different barangays of Sto. Niño in cooperation with the Municipal Goverment of Sto. Nino, Cagayan. through the leadership of our Mayor Atty. Vicente Pagurayan and Vice Mayor Andrew Vincent Pagurayan.

Present during the said activity were DOLE Regional Director Jesus Elpidio B. Atal Jr. and Provincial Director Laura B. Diciano who manifested to continue grant such program and opportunity for the people of Santo Niño.

Municipal Vice Mayor AV Roxas Pagurayan also extended his gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment on behalf of the people of Sto. Niño for always considering our municipality in such program. The LGU is committed to fully support such program which aims to provide income opportunities for our constituents.

TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently held an Integrated Livelihood Program Awarding and Grand Opening Ceremony for the Niug Norte Moto-shop Association. This event celebrated the successful establishment of an auto repair shop and motor spare parts-selling business that promises to provide economic opportunities and improve the community’s livelihood.

The Niug Norte Moto-shop Association, located in Niug Norte, Sto. Niño, is set to offer quality repair services and spare parts for both vehicles and motorcycles. The grand opening ceremony was an important event, recognizing the hard work and dedication of the individuals involved in making this project a reality.

Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan, Municipal Mayor, emphasized that the Municipal Government is committed to fully support this project to foster economic stability, reduce poverty, and empower communities. Such project will also provide opportunities for income generation, skill development, and entrepreneurship, ultimately improving people’s quality of life.

Also present during the said activity were Municipal Vice Mayor Andrew Vincent Pagurayan, Sangguniang Bayan Members, and Municipal Officials.

The Department of Labor and Employment in coordination with the Municipal Government Unit of Santo Niño, Cagayan conducted the official inauguration and turn-over ceremony of the Free-Range Chicken Poultry to Dagum Farmer Association of Sitio Dagum, Calassitan, Santo Niño, Cagayan.

The Dagum Farmers Association is an accredited Civil Society Organizations and one of the beneficiaries of livelihood projects under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program.

This project aims to provide sustainable income opportunities for the residents of the said barangay by fostering poultry farming and create a steady source of income to lift the families out of poverty.

Atty. Vicente G. Pagurayan, Municipal Mayor, emphasized that the Municipal Government is committed to fully support this project to enhance food security and to improve the lives of the residents. He also manifested that his administration will prioritize implementing developmental projects such as bridges, electricity, road network and the establishment of school in the said community. He also encouraged everyone to support this projects that are geared towards the end of insurgency in the said barangay.

Also present during the said activity were Municipal Vice Mayor Andrew Vincent Pagurayan, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Municipal Officials, DOLE Officials, Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines.
