𝓦𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓮 𝓫𝓪𝓶𝓫𝓸𝓸 𝓫𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓼 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓷𝓭, 𝔀𝓮 𝓽𝓮𝓷𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝓫𝓮 𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓽, 𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓷𝓰 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓻𝓮𝓶𝓪𝓲𝓷 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰.
The Local Government Unit of Santo Niño joins the global celebration of World Bamboo Day today, September 18, 2024 with the theme “Buhay-Kawayan: Haligi ng Industriya’t Kalikasan, Pag-asa sa Kinabukasan”.
This is to promote and remark the sustainable utilization of bamboo and its ecological significance on soil erosion and economic benefits.
As part of the aforesaid celebration, a total of 80 bamboo propagules were planted along the riparian areas of Chico river. The said activity was conducted in collaboration with the PNP, BFP, LGU personnel, Barangays Centro Sur & Centro Norte and other stakeholders.
