A milestone celebration took place in Barangay Lattac as Ms. Luisa Calano Batugal, a proud centenarian, received her cash incentive of P100,000 under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Centenarian Program.
The award was personally handed over by Ms. Rachelle Malillin from the DSWD Regional Office, joined by Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Andrew Vincent Pagurayan, Barangay Captain Hon. Angel Batugal, OSCA Head Macaria Panalo, and Senior Citizen Focal Person Susana E. Olivas.
This initiative recognizes the invaluable contributions of senior citizens and celebrates their longevity as a testament to the strength and resilience of the Filipino spirit. The local government of Sto. Niño, in partnership with DSWD, continues to honor its elderly population through programs that provide both financial and emotional support.
